Orlando Vacation - Places to Stay
By Jack Krohn
As of this writing there are well over 115,000 hotel rooms/places to stay in the Orlando area. They offer the whole gamut from the basic to the very elegant and every price range imaginable. A few things to consider when making your selection of a place to stay are the THREE C's.
COST- You would think the closer you are to the parks the more expensive and to some extent that is the case. WDW has 31 properties that in general are more expensive than their counterparts in other parts of the city. They run the range from resorts to villas, timeshares, and hotels. The increased cost is partially offset by the fact you (in theory) don't need a car.
CAR-If you feel you don't want a car and there are plenty of folks who take advantage of the free ride from the airport to WDW. Of course then you are subject to staying at the property or paying some hefty fees to get away. There is so much to do at WDW you could make the argument that it is worth it to stay at WDW.
CHARISMA-Obviously where you stay is important. How much you want to pay for the atmosphere is up to you and believe me it runs the whole gamut from the sublime to the ridiculous.
There are so many choices of accommodations it might seem a little daunting. From Orlando villas, Orlando vacation homes, Orlando vacation rentals, Orlando resorts and spas, plus all the hotels rooms you can imagine-Orlando has it all in the way of places to stay. It depends on where your priorities lie.
You pay more for convenience and atmosphere for sure-but then you are on VACATION.
Finding the best place to say in Orlando may take some time and effort on your part. It is after likely to be the vacation of a lifetime for you and your family so it is time well spent.
